This group of 3 islands lie in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean about 480 miles south of Miami. The largest of the trio, Grand Cayman has miles of stunning beaches and some fascinating sights. The other two islands are an ideal haven for those wanting to escape from it all.Small Cayman has only a handful of residents so you can delight in this peaceful island without worrying about the crowds. Cayman Brac offers slightly more entertainment,with a museum, and resorts with scuba diving and snorkelling facilities. On this cruise excursion, we took a boat ride out to a sand bar called “Stingray City” off of Grand Cayman Island. We had the opportunity to get in the water with the wild stingrays and have an up close encounter with these gentle creatures. We were given squid to feed to the stingrays (Justin loved this and the stingrays would swarm around him since he always had a handful of food!). After swimming with the stingrays, we went snorkeling for a while before heading back to our ship, the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas.
