there r some polarized lenses (or sheets) that absorb the extra light. U can buy them very cheap but u have to DIY (cut, glue it, etc…). the results are most of the time remarkable
I have both the 2010 Tachyon XC HD and the older smaller Tachyon XC Micro. I am very disappointed in the quality of the new XC HD as like your video my shots are all deep blue and the lights are all washed out. It works great above water or just a few feet down while snorkeling. My XC Micro’s video quality down deep was well superior to the XC HD. Too bad the Micro can only go for less than 2 hrs. I have three Tachyons so i am looking forward to what 2012 will bring.
@TheSilverFiend It comes with a strap mount (for attaching the side of your mask) but I actually did this video by hand with a strap i fastened to the side so it wouldn’t get away
Great video. I have one of these cameras in the mail. Can you tell me how you mounted it?
nice i will try with me cam
@auroraron.. the music was a CD that we found at a store in the Florida Keys.. I have seen it a few other places, but don’t remember the name. Video and photography is my profession, but surface shooting, I shot underwater just for fun. I like dubbing everything with music, and my camera does not record sound at all while in the underwater housing. The surface shots were with my Canon 5D II, underwater is all my Sony HD Camcorder..
Changing from 50 to 100 is perfect except you will go thought the battery really FAST
Very well done. Love the opening and the timing of your cuts to the music. Really cool shots showing the boat in the beginning. I watched it a few times before I realized you have no background sound from underwater but it works out really nice in this case. Where did you find the music?
100 watts… nice! I’m going to change the bulb in mine now from 50 to 100. I like how the background falls off into dark blue when the camera adjusts for the subjects in the foreground.
Very nice job, the color is really well saturated
I used a 100 watt Ikelite Pro-Lite III, but some of it is natural lighting, with a red filter and manual white balance.
what kind of art-oficial-light did you used in this videos/clips ?
same all over or different brands?
